Twilight star Kristen Stewart says she doesn't understand why people want to be famous, she calls Hollywood "disgustingly" sexist.
Harper's Bazaar UK was told by the 25-year-old actress that she did not enjoy being famous and claimed it was crazy that women in the film industry had to work harder than men.
In the new movie The Clouds Of Sils Maria, the actress plays a personal assistant to a big Hollywood star, opposite Oscar-winning French star Juliette Binoche.
She said "Women inevitably have to work a little bit harder to be heard." Hollywood is disgustingly sexist. It's crazy. It's so offensive it's crazy.
When people say 'I want to be famous' (I say) 'Why? You don't do anything'.
"Fame is the worst thing in the world, especially if it's pointless.
Ms Stewart told the magazine she put on weight when she ate cheeseburgers but that she was "happy and comfortable."
"My weight and my sleep are tied to my nervous system. If I'm stressed or working, the weight falls off."
"Sometimes I'll sleep for 12 hours a night and sometimes sleep just doesn't exist for me for a couple of months."
Following claims in 2012 she issued a public apology to her boyfriend and Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson.
The Snow White And The Huntsman and On The Road actress had been linked in US reports with the film's British director Rupert Sanders.
