THE NEW GLOBAL ELEPHANT AMBASSADOR - LUPITA NYONG'O

Lupita Nyong' o is the first African to win an Oscar in 2014 for her role in "12 Years a Slave", but right now she is back to her country, Kenya during the week for the first time since winning the Oscar Award in 2014.

Being recently named a 'Global Elephant Ambassador' is one of the many reasons why she is coming back to Kenya.

Her joining the WildAid organization as their new Global Elephant Ambassador & her home coming was warmly received & it is also believed that she would use her star power to fight elephant poaching.

She said in her recent interview that Elephants are one of our big five. We have their image on our money. I know this is something that is a great source of pride for Kenya. This is global heritage, but it's in our care.

Donning safari attire, Nyong' o embarked on her own media campaign to kick off her new gig by visiting Amboseli National Park known ofr its iconic view of elephants back dropped against Tanzania's Mt. Kilimanjaro and the perennial tourist favorite, David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, a home for orphaned elephants on the outskirts of Nairobi.
