MANNY PACQUIAO'S TRAINER SAYS FLOYD MAYWEATHER MIGHT NOT SHOW

Floyd Mayweather might not turn up for Saturday's super-fight in Las Vegas says Manny Pacquiao's trainer.

An upwards of 150 million pounds is set to be split between Pacquiao and Mayweather following their meeting at the MGM Grand.

I really am wondering if he's going to turn up on the night. Freddie Roach said of Mayweather.

He was forced into a fight he didn't want to take. I don't think he wanted this fight.

His speech is very subdued Roach added. I just don't know why Floyd has gone quiet for this fight.

Mayweather, 38, the five-weight world champion, was unmoved by Roach's claims stating: I'll be there.

This fight sells itself, I don't have to talk trash. I talked trash in the past, but not anymore.

Roach, citing that as further proof of Mayweather's fragile state of mind, his camp has complained about the protective cup that Pacquiao will use to cover his genitalia during the fight.

Nevada Commission had inspected the cup at Pacquiao's training camp and approved it Roach said.
Roach, a seven-time trainer of the year with Oscar de la Hoya when Mayweather beat him in 2007 said, it's the regular cup.

Floyd Sr, Mayweather's trainer and father, also went on the offensive at Wednesday's news conference.

"Manny Pacquia' ain't got it," he said. "He can't punch. It's going to be one-sided and Pacquiao is going to be put to sleep. Good night."

"When Floyd breaks his jaw, he will take time to recoup. And when it's all finished, he'll be sucking on soup." He mocked Pacquiao and Roach in rhyme, including the line.

Pacquiao, 36, six-weight world champion, said he wanted the fight more than Mayweather and criticized the American - unbeaten in 47 bouts - for being money-focused.

"For me, it's about giving the fans who are paying all this money a great fight. They deserve that.

The Philipine legend added he was in good shape for the fight, which is the richest in history and also for the WBC, WBA and WBO welterweight titles.

"I haven't felt like this in my last few fights, the feeling I had three years ago, 10 years ago, is back." I feel different, I'm relaxed and confident, he said.
